The Midlands State University National Pathology Research and Diagnostic Centre was officially opened by His Excellency the President of Zimbabwe on the 15th of July 2022.

The Centre was established with the aim of advancing the field of Pathology in Zimbabwe and beyond through the provision of world-class health services. Our primary goal is to provide first-rate diagnostic services to patients while also conducting cutting-edge research in order to enhance our understanding of the mechanisms of diseases and develop new treatments.

To achieve these goals, we have assembled a team of highly skilled pathologists, researchers, and technicians who work tirelessly to provide accurate and timely diagnoses to patients. We also conduct research in various areas of pathology, including cancers, infectious diseases, and genetic disorders, among others.

Our state-of-the-art facilities Centre is equipped with and the latest technology, which includes; advanced imaging, molecular diagnostics, and high-throughput sequencing platforms. We also have a dedicated team of support staff who ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team, we have achieved notable accomplishments since our inception in a very short period. The Centre came second at the 2023 Presidential Innovation fare. MSUNPRDC aspires to be a key player in the training of the next generation of pathologists, radiographers and researchers whilst at the same time offering World class research facilities.
